Our Family's Vision for 2022

I think often about what Einstein wrote. And he’s not alone. Many of our great thinkers, writers, and visionaries have reminded us that our imagination is not something we should leave behind in childhood. It is maybe one of our greatest tools as humans. We have the ability to imagine, as Glennon Doyle writes, “ a truer and more beautiful” version of the world.
Every technological advancement, architectural wonder, new nation formed, began with an idea. From someone’s imagination came a new possibility, and they had the courage to speak it, share it, and ultimately create it.
When we sat down a couple of years ago as a 4th generation, we had an idea. What if we could use our product, the thing we had been doing for over 100 years, to help families eat a little healthier? What if we could help educate them about how to upgrade their food and make eating healthier a little more convenient and accessible? What if our own dried fruit could be more than a product on the grocery store shelf? What if it could be a solution for busy people trying to live out their own dreams for their lives?
That’s when we decided that we wanted to be more than a dried fruit company. We have a purpose - a responsibility, really: to support people in one of the most important things we can do – maintaining health. We believe health is the foundation from which we can not only imagine “a truer and more beautiful world,” but we can act on it. We left that meeting with a new company vision: “inspire healthy living.” And that’s still our mission today.
Starting with one serving of our Probiotic Prunes a day, or being able to throw a No Sugar Added Mango in your backpack means that whether you need a quick breakfast, or a healthy snack on the road, eating healthy can be just a little more doable.
This year, in 2022, we are as committed as ever to your family’s health and are proud to continue to offer you the same dried fruit we feed our families. Here’s to building a truer and more beautiful world together!
