Irish Date Whiskey Cream Shake
Ingredients
- ½ cup Mariani Pitted Dates
- 2 tablespoons Irish whiskey (30 ml)
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream (or frozen coconut cream for a dairy-free version), about 130 g
- ¾ cup whole milk, 180 ml (or almond milk for a lighter option)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (5 ml)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- grated dark chocolate or cocoa powder (for garnish)
Instructions
- Add the chopped dates, whiskey, and 2 tbsp milk to a blender. Blend until smooth and syrupy.
- Add the ice cream, remaining milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Blend just until creamy and thick. Avoid over-blending to keep it frosty.
- Pour into two glasses, top with whipped cream, and finish with grated dark chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder.
- Easy swap: For a non-alcoholic version, replace the whiskey with 1–2 tbsp brewed espresso or ½–1 tsp caramel extract.
