Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Ingredients
- 5 Mariani Organic Deglet Noor Pitted dates - soaked in hot water (to soften)
- 3 small avocados (ripe) or 2 larger avocados – peeled, pitted, and halved
- ¼ c raw cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
- ¼ c melted dark chocolate
- ½ c unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Optional: pinch of cayenne
Instructions
- 1. Place Organic Deglet Noor Pitted dates in small bowl and cover with hot water. Let sit 5 minutes to soften. Remove and discard water.
- 2. Next, place everything in a food processor. Pulse a few times to break everything down and then run the machine until everything is smooth. You may want to stop a few times and scrape down the sides of the machine.
- 3. Pour into small cups or ramekins and refrigerate for 25 minutes or longer.
- 4. Top with whipped cream (or whipped coconut cream) and chocolate shavings.
